Sumi Brush Painting

Show your preschoolers pictures of Chinese brush paintings or Sumi paintings and allow them to try to make their own on white computer paper, stapled to construction paper.

Use water colors to allow colors to bleed a little together. You could also have them draw a branch and paint cherry blossoms to their branch, counting to a given number.
