Preschool Space Theme
Create an astronomy mural showing the relative sizes of the planets to include in your preschool space theme.
We created this colourful astronomy mural as part of our space theme. To complete it, requires a lot of colouring in and cutting out so it is a great family or class project. Click here to see our Starry Night Glitter Collage Craft.

Make the Space MuralYou will need 2 large sheets of black cardstock tape printable planet cut-outs* wax or pencil crayons scissors glue stick
*The printable pages containing the astronomy cut-outs can be downloaded and printed from the following site free of charge. http://www.learningpage.com Please note that before you can access the relevent "Theme Sheets" of the above site, you will be required to register as a member - free. I have had no spam from this site so I vouch for their integrity. Once you have registered, you must first login to the MEMBERS area of the site, otherwise you will not find the Murals!
We coloured in the planets and stuck them down in order of distance from the sun: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn and Neptune. (Pluto is no longer classified as a planet!) Variations: On the Learning Page website, there are also printables of comets, stars, space ships and UFO's which you could add. We are still going to add glitter and create an asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. You could also add gold star stickers to your mural.
