Sand Collage

Sand Collage

Shirley's comment - The first idea below is similar to the Sand collage craft shown in the picture above

Underwater scene

Here is my ocean theme preschool idea:

On blue construction paper for the ocean, I cut out sand paper to cover half of it to look like the beach.

Glue small assorted shells to the sand paper.

Cut and use green party streamers in 3 long strips to look like kelp.

Make small fish and star fish out of play dough, (allow to harden) then glue to the kelp scenery.

Try to make the fish look like they are eating the kelp. This looks real and cool!

Ocean in a bottle

In addition to my ocean theme idea, I added to the ocean in a bottle. I like to purchase ocean scenery and little green trees at the pet supply store.

Cut out pieces of the ocean scenery to fit around each bottle or you can buy ocean decor which sticks on windows to glue instead.

The little green trees are glued to the inside of the cap to go inside the bottle. Then add the usual half water and half oil mixture along with sand and blue food coloring.
