Frog life cycle

by Brittany

Tiny frog

Tiny frog

This is a fun easy way to introduce frogs to preschooler.

Get a fish tank of any size and 10 or more frog eggs.

As the eggs hatch and turn into frogs the children will observe each stage. You can use magnifying glasses. While the frogs are in the tank growing, you should explain each stage of the frog's growth.

You can also have the children help with the adding of more sand as the frogs grow.

At the end of the year take the children to a local pond or other body of water and release them.

While the growing of the frogs take place, the children can keep a journal of what they see by drawing pictures and writing (or dictating).
