French Ideas

I am fluent in French as are my children. I found a book named after my son, which is a commonly spoken name in Europe and a common song for preschool here in North America.

'Sur la Ferme de Mathurin' - this is Old Macdonald's Farm, the song which introduces animals in a progressive repetitive way. It is great for preschool. It is a hard book to find in a library.

The large size of the book makes for easy reading.

Additional ideas:
Draw the animals with their French names. Make it a great multi project event: cognitive, language, and social development become involved and it is really fun.
