While most of you are in the grip of winter, here in South Africa we are enjoying our long summer vacation! Its taken a week or so to unwind after a spate of year-end functions ... as our kids grow older and get more involved in sport and other activities, the busier our lives become - but its all good fun!

This newsletter is just a short one to share with you the SBI Buy-One-Get-One Free special offer. Also, Tips on Toys follow below!

As you probably know by now, I am a homeschooling mom of 6 kids and I feel doubly blessed to be able to earn money from home and contribute to our family income.

My site is already 7 years old and although I don't do much work on it, it still generates a tidy income each month...more than some other women earn working at full day office jobs in our town!

It's a great source of passive income that allows me to be a stay-at-home mom and yet still survive in this tough economy.

I knew nothing about the Net or site building when I began, but I bought a package that guided me through the milestones, one baby step at a time.

It is ideal for people that are beginners in the realm of online business, but for those that have some technical savvy, its awesome too! The tools are amazing.

Anyway, Site Build It, (the company whose package I use) is offering a Buy-One-Get-One Free deal until 25 December and so I thought there might be others out there, that need to look at new income options for their families.

This is ideal as you can work at it in your own time and can still be there for your family.

Even if you don't have a clue what you'd create your site about at the moment, Site Build It has a brainstorming tool to help you choose a niche -

As they say, "We all know something about something".

I know that you probably need a bit more information and some time to think about this, so I'll give you some useful links that I hope will inspire you.

Tips on Toys

We all love to buy our kids toys to delight them, but so often we don't buy wisely.

Below are some criteria to consider when buying toys and games:

  • Is it good quality and relatively childproof? Cheap products don't last!
  • Will it develop a skill that my child needs at this age?
  • Will my child be capable of looking after this type of toy?
  • Until what age will my child still enjoy this item? It better to invest in toys and games that will span a range of ages.

Always get the best quality that you can afford so that the toys will last.

For Bible believers:

  • Read Luke 22:14-23 and 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26 to see what our Saviour instructed us to do in remembrance of Him.
  • Discuss with your children other ways that our culture has chosen to remember Him. Are they Biblical?
